Shen Tong, President & Founder of VFinity, will host
a presentation on Metadata at the 14th Henry Stewart DAM & MOM Symposium
LA 2006, at 11:20 am Monday, October 9th 2006, at the Renaissance Hollywood
Hotel, 1755 N. Highland Avenue, Hollywood, California. VFinity will also
present the latest release of V-Business 2.1 ‘web-native’
software solution at exhibition booth no. 119.
Shen Tong’s presentation topic is “Media Context from Taxonomy,
Community Tagging, and Workflow Integration.” Metadata is one of
the keys to the future of elegant and powerful search. Automatically generating
metadata, thumbnails, key frames, streaming, and proxies worldwide is
crucial for broadcasters eager to keep up with the challenges of multi-user
generated content. Digital librarians, asset managers, broadcasters and
production managers still wondering what metadata really is will discover
why the right metadata and taxonomy is crucial to your multimedia assets
management system.
During his presentation, Shen Tong will cover custom and standard metadata
models, the importance of creating a continuous life cycle of content,
and how to approach Taxonomy & DIY tagging (Folksonomy) as part of
digital asset management processes. He will also demonstrate the contextual
creation from user community and from workflow (digitization, production,
distribution), and provide in-depth analysis of how to achieve perpetual
monetization through the Managed Web™.
VFinity will present the latest release of V-Business 2.1, the most innovative
‘web-native’ software solution available for multimedia asset
management, at exhibition booth no. 119. To arrange a personalized demonstration
