Lee Morgenroth, VP Technology for digital asset management
leader, VFinity will conduct a panel presentation on Web Services at NAB
(National Association of Broadcasters) confab in Las Vegas at 11 a.m.Wed.,
April 26 in the G-SAM Theatre in the Digital Asset Management Pavilion,
South Hall, Las Vegas Convention Center.
Panel topic is “What are Web Services and Why Should You Care?”
Morgenroth explains ‘web services’ is a hot tech buzzword
describing systems that enable software components to interact with each
other via the Internet. Web services are especially crucial in broadcast
and enterprise private networks around the world to encourage global collaboration.

VFinity Launching Web-Native Content Management
VFinity will launch V-Business 2.0 web-based media management system
that is ‘web-native’ (designed for the web from ground zero)
in booth SL 3033 (South Hall) during the NAB conference. Morgenroth defines
‘web-native’ as V-Business’s features that enable all
system capabilities from media input, editing of metadata to group access
to content to be available via web browser anywhere by anyone in multiple
languages.
The G-SAM Web Services panel will be moderated by Stuart Murray, Managing
Director of Candela Media Ltd. Panelists include: Lee Morgenroth, VP Technology,

Lee Morgenroth’s digital media background ranges from architecting
digital video database applications for British Telecom to directing “The
East Village”, award winning online soap opera and producing independent
film projects. As executive producer for Bolt.com, he pioneered new models
for community-driven online content. In the enterprise arena, Morgenroth
designed and built digital media management systems, produced multimedia
assets, and implemented distributed digital video production systems for
companies including Sony Online Entertainment and Digitas LLC. Lee holds
a SB in Computer Science from MIT and an SM in Media Arts and Sciences
from the Interactive Cinema Group at the MIT Media Lab.
