1. Can the system architecture support a web-based workflow, and how often do you release new versions?

VFinity is web-native. Unlike other DAM systems, VFinity is not a web interface on top of legacy software. The modern architecture makes it much easier for us to meet your requirements in a timely manner.

2. Will the system support global video production?

Yes. In addition to the web architecture described above, the localized user interface and Unicode compliant metadata supports global video production.

3. Is the metadata schema flexible?

The flexibility of the metadata schema is unparalleled in the industry. The XML definitions allow the administrator to create any database schema to support your organizational requirements.

4. Is VFinity limited to video files?

Absolutely not. Any type of digital file can be stored in, and retrieved from our repository.

In addition, we offer automatic metadata processing for many commonly used files types. For example, metadata is automatically generated for office documents, photos, flash, video formats, and many more formats. Metadata processing includes support for generating thumbnails, key frames, proxies, and so forth.

5. The product seems very easy-to-use. However, is it robust enough for my production users?

Yes. Oftentimes, production users are expecting a more complex interface from a product like VFinity. In fact, this is the type of interface we had in our 1.0 version. However, subsequent development efforts have been focused on simplifying the interface while also making the tool more powerful. VFinity is very easy to use and requires very little training.

These production users soon find that they can get more done, than they could with more complex products. Another benefit to it's well designed interface is that user adoption will increase and organizations will derive more value from the product.
